The children were divided into three categories according to their age – Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16. There were separate events for the boys and girls and finally a Relay. Some of the individual events were – 100m dash, 200m and Long Jump. Finally, mixed teams of boys and girls were formed, 4×100m relay was conducted.

The VEDIKE Inter-School Sports Day will become an annual meet for the children of VEDIKE Eco Residential School, schools in the villages that surround the VEDIKE Campus as well as children from schools in the city. Through this meet, Vedike would like to emphasize on the importance of Sports and Education in schools surrounding the campus by means of Scholarships. It is also a way of introducing the children of Bangalore City with those from rural Bangalore therefore creating a much needed bridge between the two.
